Both identity and image have critical relationship. When you are talking about Brand Identity, for some… identity is a logo. But It’s more than that. It is all about the reality of who you are.

A strategic identity should articulate of who you are, what you do, and why you matter the most to your key audiences. On the other hand an image is how you are thought of (by the audiences). We need to know what the audience perceived about the brand.

Assuming your identity is measured higher than your image, you may have a very good product, services, and strong corporate culture, but your customers do not even know who you are, what you do, or why you are relevant to them. Or your building big image through advertising efforts, but your products and people don’t live up to their expectation, you may end up disappointing your customer.

The goal is to have a balance measure between identity and image. Measurement must be done in a periodical time.

Let’s think about your strategic identity again. Or do you have one? And if you want to know more about branding visit Whitespace page often. This is about sharing. I am sure many of you have better knowledge.
